Ana – Age 13 – Honduras

At age 12, Ana was diagnosed with Paroxysmal Supraventricular Tachycardia, an irregular heartbeat. Her condition worsened and resulted in several hospitalizations during the last two years. Ana’s mother, Nayra, a pharmacy assistant, found HeartGift online and the teenager was accepted into the program. The pair traveled to the United States where her condition was successfully treated by ablation in the catheterization lab. Today, Ana is happy and healthy, and loves hanging out with her friends and going to school regularly.
