Minjinsor – Age 7 – Mongolia

Minjinsor – Minjee for short – traveled more than 7,000 miles from the Uvurkhangai Province in Mongolia with her mom, Shuren, to Houston to receive her life-saving HeartGift surgery. Shortly after birth, Minjee was diagnosed with Atrial Septal Defect (ASD), or a hole between the two upper chambers of her heart.

Unfortunately, the necessary care to treat the 7-year-old’s congenital heart defect did not exist in her home country. She was living a life of chronic illness, extremely low energy, and lengthy hospital stays with pneumonia. HeartGift was proud to step in to help Minjee with her medical journey of getting a newly mended heart. Today, she is thriving and growing like a weed, playing with friends and running like little girls should.
