Klyn – Age 14 – Haiti

Klyn is your typical teenage boy with a wicked sense of humor and loves all things electronic. He was diagnosed with atrial septal defect, a hole between the heart’s two upper chambers. Klyn arrived in Houston and open-heart surgery successfully closed the hole. He was now ready to try his hand at basketball and volleyball – two sports he typically just watched in the past because he did not have the energy or stamina. Klyn’s parents are both deceased so he and his 16-year-old sister live with their Uncle, Sonel, and his family. We’re excited to see all he accomplishes now that his heart is mended!
