Keona – Age 2 – Philippines

Keona and her identical twin were born prematurely at 31 weeks, and only Keona was diagnosed with four defects in her tiny heart called Tetralogy of Fallot, a congenital heart defect consisting of four defects in her small heart.

The 19-month-old and her dad traveled nearly 9,000 miles from the Philippines to New Orleans to begin her HeartGift medical journey. Keona’s surgery was successful, and she is moving and grooving like toddlers do! The pair returned home to mom and the twins were reunited.
